The Attic sponsors professional level workshops and classes throughout the year to help interested educators, teachers and parents from the greater community gain a better understanding of the developmental educational model and related topics.
Presented by Pat Orrell, Executive Director, The Attic Learning Community Attic Math Specialists: Jeanie Iida, Liz Hunter, Alison Farrell and Shelley Maurer with Reading/Writing Specialist and Author, Katie Johnson Approach teaching and learning in a way that nurtures the development of logical thinking, curiosity, self-direction, and a passion for learning in children. Nurture the scientist, mathematician, reader, writer, and self-directed learner in your own child, or the children you teach.
These four introductory workshops will help you recognize and create a child-centered learning environment in your home or classroom. Explore a developmental approach to science, math, reading and writing. Resources and inspiration will be shared. Questions asked and answered.
All workshops are held at The Attic Learning Community site at 20140 - 137th Ave NE, Woodinville, Washington, 98072, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
