Assembling the Successful College Application

September 19, 2011

Laura Hunter, one of our recent Attic Alums who is now attending Stanford University, will offer a session entitled "Assembling the Successful College Application" on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 7 -8:30 pm at The Attic for Attic community members.   Learn how to maximize your time at the Attic, as well as how to translate that into a good application and a strong personal essay.   Session will focus on High Schoolers applying to college, but all Attic community-members are welcome to attend.



Making the Most of College Visits

Please join us for another Attic Alumni Advice session this week on Wednesday, August 11th, at the Attic from 7-8:15pm, Dylan Ruef, has agreed to meet with Attic High Schoolers and chat about making the most of college visits. Dylan is going to talk briefly about his college visits and recommendations for your own, followed by any questions that you have about college visits or any other college admissions topics that you would like to discuss with Dylan.  This session will be quite informal and you are encouraged to bring your questions about the College Admissions process.  All Attic High Schoolers ages 16+ are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Marisa Maurer, one of our recent Attic Alums, has agreed to present a focused College Admissions Advice session designed especially for Attic High Schoolers. This session will specifically focus on the Senior year college admissions push, but all Attic High Schoolers ages 16+ are welcome to attend.

Marisa is going to focus on the college essay, the Common Application (specifically the Homeschool supplement), general advice about the application process, and she will have time for questions and answers. Handouts will be provided.
